Ergovation

TJ had the thing stitched up today by The Village Cobbler. After getting the saddle back and looking it over he found MORE busted stitching in the leg loops. This is a $500+ harness that is maybe 30 days in use.

He called Buckingham and had to threaten them with badmouthing the saddle online to get a realistic resolution. He's supposed to get a call from them tomorrow.

I am curious to hear what they say. Although I like the saddle I have just noticed some loose stitching, not much, that I have been torching. Curious to see if it gets worst.

Agrovation more like it. I tried a friends on and didn't like it at all. TM, Sequoia, or Glide thank you much...

What's this about Ergo II is that for real? Seems wierd they'd make a sequel so quickly...or maybe not.

The biggest problem with the saddle is the length of the leg straps hanging. There's no adjustment and poor padding in the leg straps.

i finally got the ergo, and not gonna lie, love it. its great to climb in day in and day out. such a customizable saddle, once dialed, really comfortable

Well after reading what you guys typed, now I'm wondering. Already ordered the couger, looked bomb-proof but thinking i'll be on saddle for another 10+yrs., I spent the extra & ordered the Ergo. from my local saw shop.OH,I hope she's the One! And as for cutting straps, last time I did that, I didn't think 20lbs+ down the road. I blame my wife's cooking. My belt runneth over.Lesson learned. HAPPY TURKEY DAY and another 3 lbs!!

Hi Dan,you say one can get diffrent leg straps for the ergo?Do you mean the bosuns seat i guess?I am very curious to see how well the leg straps work w/the seat, my old pinnacle's leg straps had to be readjusted after every climb, what an annoyance, but they were more for keeping the seat in place than actual leg straps.well, will have the ergo in about a week or so,can't wait to play, feel like a kid a few days before X-mas.

The bosun seat is connected by two carabiners and then cinched up to where you want it. It takes 15-20 to put it on and it goes under your leg loops so you don't need to make any modifications.

The SRT attachment is awesome but if you have a small waist like I do you have to take off your quick disconnected clips in the front. Its really not that much of a pain to install it the other way just adds 5-10 seconds while putting it on.

I just got the H suspenders and haven't really gotten to give them a good test drive I'll let you guys know how they shape up. They do fit nice and are very adjustable.

My only compliant it the stitching on the saddle frays here and there. Its not too bad but you have to take a lighter to it every other week to make sure your not losing the stitching.

Other than that its a great saddle its a little heavy but once you put it on you can't tell.

One of our climbers took his Ergovation to a cobbler to have all the stitching reinforced. I think thats bogus for a $500 harness.

The bridge is awesome. It takes a little getting used to if your coming from a non sliding bridge harness. I like the fact its just a rope bridge so your can replace it at your own pace and not have to spend money on bridges.

Ive had my ergo since march. Ive had the benefit of having it tweeked and adjusted specifically for me since the get go. Since then I have adjusted very little except to play with different techniques(climbing and positioning). In providence I switched the leg pads for the rigid pads as leg pinch has been a problem with every saddle I have ever owned. The rigids work great and I certianly recommend them. As stated before in this thread, tweaking and personalizing the ergo is the key to enjoying the saddle and making it worthwhile.

wore the suspenders for two short climbs. If they don't work well tomorrow I'll be sending them back not worth the money right now. They are damn uncomfortable. They chafe the neck really bad.

Hello Jman,

I am sorry for your discomfort while using the harness attachment for the Ergo.

Did you purchase the Y harness or the H harness?

I you could post a pic of what the issue might be, I could offer some advice, or posibly provide a solution for you.

again I am sorry for your discomfort,

EC
