Elbow pain

These guys are prolly offering better advise than I can. My hands and elbows hurt like hell when I first switched to SRT. I went from 1/2” rope to 11.7 mm. Not a huge difference in my mind but gripping it caused the issue. I put in a pair of gloves and it went away. Could’ve been that or that I upped my water intake at the same time.

Can also give slight twist to friction hitch to break static friction as Brocky offers, less pull to affect slide then. Just slight twist is great for fine tuning extensions sideways too.
Foot Cam instead of arm input up?
Chest pulley/cam so body CoG pulls into pure inline to rope column rather than away for less fight with arms?
So all leg effort upwards

The compresses bands that go right below the elbow can do wonders, IME. They treat the symptoms.

Push-ups helped when I used to rock climb a lot, with lots of pulling down and back, lots less pushing.
Thank you, will look into it. Did pushups hurt back then? It did me yesterday when I did some (was trying to find ways to work out that doesn't prolong the healing)

I especially like the idea of knowing and thinking in terms of am I treating a symptom or a cause at SouthSound pointed to in one place. I wore a knee brace for days off and on when I tweeked my knee recently (dealing with a symptom ), and I got right on flexibilty movements and strengthening to deal with the cause and put the brace away as I continue the flexibility and strengthening routine.

What is this dmso, short for something? I am Swedish, might not catch it if you are referring to a product on your market (I most likely have something similar under a different trademark)

Dimethylsulfoxide

Works like a localised anti-inflammatory. It is toxic, and athletes are banned from using it I believe. However can work miracles - on animals of course ;).

Certainly not to be used every day - but on chronic days can be a life saver. Don’t store it in bedroom. Keep in wrapped tight plastic bag, or sealed jar. Used freely on animals....

If inflamed, it will hurt.

Less weight, as in knee-push ups, and/or make your body angle less horizontal.

Massage, water, water, rest, massage, tumeric, maybe bone broth, etc.
