DMM throw hook.

If it was $300, I'd agree with you....

Fortunately the cost of my tools are no longer a factor. I get what works best, for me. I do know that you are very experienced and I'm not trying to talk-up the MCRS but dimensionally it is not that different from the TM. Like the TM it is almost infinitely adjustable. If the MCRS hurt your back it is more likely that the support was not setup optimally than any other reason.

I am, unfortunately, of a waist size that is between holes on the belt (fault 1), the side to side range of motion is too great (this is what hurt my back, I rotated and it took too much effort to rotate back)(fault 2, possibly adjustment could eliminate this), the leg loops cradle the legs but do not cinch to them (nut racking) (fault 3), gear racking sucks compared to the competition (fault 4), I prefer purpose built hardware (d's, hip d's, buckles, etc.) (Not a fault, an opinion), the padding surface material feels awful (opinon again), the d rings for the suspenders should be soft loops (fault 5/ opinion :-) ), the rope as main support digs in worse than flat webbing despite the padding. The quality of the construction is top notch however, and if you like it I think it will last you a very long time.

It's not accepted in competition, you're riding on life support that isn't rated (it's parts are but the whole unit is not), and it's developer has not represented himself well when it receives constructive criticism.

I've got three bids to complete. Good night!

Different strokes. I liked the TM fine, was happy with it until I tried the MCRS.
I was the same and went back and forth multiple times between the two. I kept making fine tuned adjustments now I far prefer the way the mcrs is dialed in compared to my tm. Now I just use the tm as a rain day take down saddle ,usually be it a conifer to boot. That means more straight up and down for anyone who ain't catching my drift.

Mine has been sitting in my bag for a long time now unused. I don't have buyers remorse just lack of use remorse.

I think if I buy more (the roll n clip and the roll n lock) the remorse will be gone.

I have no regrets, excels for decentralized wide crown trees or if you want to work multiple trees grouped together, makes it quicker to go tree-to-tree. As I've said in the past, the kits is very well conceived if you can afford it.

I don't know why, it may have been confusion or goodwill, when I purchased my hook, I ordered just the hook but received the entire kit. I think there was some confusion when it first showed up for sale.

The 10mm Reep Schnur cordage with the kit is very supple and tends to hockle more easily than less supple cordage, it's pretty easy to untwist by letting the hook hang. I don't know for sure but I suspect that a supple light line like Reep Schnur is going allow longer throws and more effective use of the hook.

Hey AJ, I placed a rather large order when the Hook was first available and Luke and the gang gave out several kits, versus the Hook as a single item. That's how I got mine, as well. I'm completely addicted to the Hook, I don't use it as much for work as in the beginning, but I love the fact if I need it, it's there. As a kit, it's a perfect matchup, and extremely easy to hook onto my harness and just go. As far as the the cordage hocking, I just let it hang straight down and it corrects itself. All this time I thought I was special, by receiving the entire kit. I believe there were several of us. eccstaticco!
