Denali summited?

In a more tongue in cheek vein (at least it is hoped that's what it was, if you do watch all the way thru) there's a YouTube story on some modern day "explorers" who donned vintage 1920's state of the art gear and attempted the Mt Waddington approach in BC's Coast Range. Lotsa Devils Club and enough bugs so that fun was had by all . . . . . can't beat B.C. bush thrashes. Grown men weep.

The clothing and gear that was used for this climb, and Everest, makes me shudder. It was all state of the art then though

its cool that gear designs inspired by the shortfalls (or er, longer falls) experienced during that time period are with us today, like the classic vibram mountaineering sole. turn over a workboot and odds are good youll see it or a sole designed to look just like it
