Death bone tree

Mike, your guess Styphnolobium might be right. I checked images online and the seed chain looks a little different (maybe?). Looks close though.

I should mention this tree has large compound leaves. I have added an image of the fruit/seed chain.

I'm sure this tree is not uncommon, and that its English common name is different than the Dutch translation. These may be unusually large and old though..not sure. I have seen a few small ones.

I've only seen about three or four of them myself... But the name really makes an impression LOL! Also I am familiar with the seed because I saved them for propagation in the past.

Did i mention my zoom on my ipad soaks cork. (that will be my excuse evry time i miss one :) heres another at Chelsea physic garden. they seem like great trees
