ct rec climb jan 8-9 2011

The trees are going to look awesome tomorrow! Don’t forget to bring your cameras.
See you at 9

Damn, have to watch the kiddo, plus a nearly 3 hour drive with morning-after-snow idiots could likely make my day nearly all just a long, frustrating drive. :(

Have fun guys!

Would love to make it but im plowing for a portion of the night and will have no desire to play in the trees. Have a great time and get some good pics!

No problem starlet. We will be setting up another climb soon , so we will get you up there in the tree tops.

Thanks to everyone who made the trek, Leslie and I had a blast meeting some new treebuzzers. And Thanks Andrew and Danny for getting Leslie all set up in the tree tops.
Jeff looking forward to heading up your way for one of the upcoming climbs.
Timberjack I have to learn your throwing technique! I’ve never seen anyone launch a line that high by hand! Nice!
Caught some good footage of Russ up in the huge Tulip.
Bob looking forward to a climb your way as well
We had a blast!

Hopefully before the snow melts, lol. New phone is on the way.(lost my cell phone in the snow)
Really great meeting all you guys and Leslie. Learned a few new things myself. I'll post some pics as soon as I am done being lazy.

Here's some pics. The snow made the day all the more exciting. Could of done without the snow on the branches but I don't think anything came of it for anyone.

Goodaking picked out an excellent site in southern Connecticut, some nice big woods tulips, hickory and red oak were climbed. Sure was pretty up in the canopy with fresh snow from the night before. Thanks for getting together everyone, looking forward to the next one. I have a little video to post later.

great pictures moss!! looking forward to the video...hopefully you can edit out some of the shaking! I was trying to hold my position on the limbwalk while you were getting ready to traverse. That was cool watching you fire away with your foot sling shot over to Russ. Not sure if i captured the geese coming in for atack, but thought that was pretty cool!

Damnit, now you've really got me kicking myself for not making it! I've never really been over 100' or so, wouldve been a new benchmark for me!

Next time Jeff! Working on another western Mass. climb with some well over 100' trees.
