Crap gear!

On that note I am going back to a kask visor....but the mesh one is great for certain things...and it won't break like the kask one after a while...depends on what I am doing TBH....big wood in high wind mesh comes out cutting up on the ground mesh...
 
Sorry to say but Kask helmets,broken apart foam,gets smelly quickly etc,the,visors have some kind of coating on them which peels after a bit and then hard to see out of,they replaced 2 forme,had same problems then i gave up
 
I have had many kask's now, they are smelly but it's my sweat and I am cool with it.....next I have had a few visors and the film does peel off after a while...I like that as I rub it all off and the visor is then great....I can always get all the film off....I clean them with simple dawn dish soap...daily...so I needed a new lid and bought a mirror visor some peltor muffs and a red kask...lids are about preference....I am cool with my kasks...IMG02237-20140926-1929.webp

and thats the real problem replacing a piece of crap with another piece of crap is not a solution it is a bandaid approach to problem solving.
here is a better idea don't make tree work items CHEAPLY OUT OF CHEAP MATERIALS that were not up to the task in the first place and tell us this is the best thing since sliced bread,
we are not stupid and after seeing with our own eyes what goes on day to day with the materials chosen and construction methods employed in making these products when it fails there is usually a pretty clear reason as to why, so giving me another one of the same shite solves what exactly?.

I said before that I have no issue with them and I can stand by that.
I just received an order and the Silky came with the wrong scabbard. Must have been an old one - no rollers.
I let my rep know (Alan @ Brampton, ON) and he is making it right. No hassle, no cost.
I feel credit should be given where it is due.
 
I've never tried a Kask. I still really like my Vents.
Have to say I have never liked my Pacific helmet. I know lots of people do - maybe I just have a weird head...
Fits funny, flops around, heavy.
 
Yeah it is Stihlmadd, they all are...I just can't smile in a selfie....and I still like my mesh visor better than that setup...it's maintenance free...lol
 
Yeah I wear a treestuff doo rag under mine, WTH no one else ever wears my helmet...must be crazy....To tell the truth I buy on average two kasks a year....cheap for what they do for me....I usually run two cause they never dry out after one day....
