Cougar Question

I was wondering what everyone was using to attach their saws to this saddle and what options are available. I haven't found a good place for it just yet. Any help would be appreciated.

I've had the same debate. I struggle to get a krab into the side slot that's strong enough for a chainsaw. Right now, I keep a kong on the right ring and clip it into that. I have to turn and look to clip the chainsaw into it every time, but other than that it's working pretty good.

I've been debating on cutting the ring out though and replacing it with an accessory krab. That way it doesn't flip around and always stays one way. Only thing is it would have to be smaller than the kong.

And not to hijack your thread, but do you have a problem with the waist adjustment straps pulling out and flopping around. I can't get mine to stay in and I've nicked my left side one with my hand saw a few times. I've thinking of just using velcro to secure them.

I cut the snaps off of my cougar and left the rings in place. I replaced the snaps with oval krabs that fit in the loops on the yellow webbing and ride above the rings. This has worked out pretty well. I still havnt had much luck getting a Krab into those slots on the sides. Ranger have you tried tucking your waist belt underneath the webbing that holds your bridge in place (on the left) this has worked for me so far but I am a skinny little plucker and use the last hole one the belt.

I decided to cut the ring out today, and I replaced it with a small accessory krab. It was a snug fit for sure, but it will always be at that exact spot. I plan on ordering another small caritool soon also. I have one of the left side and need another for the right. It's the only krab I've been able to fit into the side slots.
