cougar or black widow?

save your money and buy a tree magic or a tree motion. if you have a cougar and are serious about a comp saddle there is none better than the two listed in my opinion.

Save your money and become a better climber. One saddle for everything, prunes removals competition. Your body builds muscle memory why confuse it. You got the Weaver stay with it. Spent the money you save on a ms200t and a good hand saw.Mabye a big shot to get that super high tie in point. Buying 2or3 different saddles is awaste of money. Its not the saddle its the climber.

Stick with one saddle? I have four. It's good practice. Maybe one gets recalled imagine that or you're feeling a different style you just never know. I'm sure Marc Powell will back me up.

Is the cougar comfortable? Does it inspire confidence? Is it the best leg loop saddle for under $300 dollars?

i have a cougar and i love it but i also have only tried a few different saddles its comfortable but heavy, its economical but now we have had two recalls, theres pros and cons always....

well the cougar has yet another recall and that makes me a bit nervous. makes me trust my saddle less. and if anything happens like they start saying dont climb in it anymore, well i will be without a saddle so i need a backup.

I agree, I would hate to the one to discover a problem that effects a recall. The cougar being recalled so many times means the manufacturer is cutting corners and being cheap. It may be comfortable but obviously it is a piece of junk.

Ehhhhhh. I have 3 currently. That's one more than I need. I always own at least 2 saddles due to inclimate weather/ climbing conditions plus I like having a saddle that converts to a fall arrest for bucket operation.
