cotton easter

I s a cotoneaster the same as eastern cotton wood? I was reading one of my arboriculture books and they were talking about cotoneaster, but when I went to look it up in my id books , the only thing that seemed close was eastern cotton wood. Is this the same tree?

nope cotoneaster is a little shrubby thing.

Goodaking, just FYI, it's pronounced cuh-TOE-nee-aster, even though it looks like it could very well be pronounced cotton-easter.
