No I have Milwaukee stuff now, I started with Makita but it was kind of a bad Era for their battery's and they kept crapping out on me, I think they fixed the issue though.Anyone have experience with this Makita? Im looking into it for bracing.

From what I read in the grcs manual it's more about exceeding the wll of the rope, do log weight calculations if you think you're getting close if you're negative rigging keeping weight and safe working loads for your equipment should always be on your mind anyways it's not like you can feel how much weight is going onto your gear before you drop the piece. How do you know if you are exceeding the wll of the GrcS if you are using the milwaukee or the two hand handle?
would be interesting to measure that with a loadcell. How do you know if you are exceeding the wll of the GrcS if you are using the milwaukee or the two hand handle?
That is very correct. One person only on the crank, no cheater bars either.I asked because, if I recall correctly, Greg Good seemed to say only one person should crank and they shldnt add an extension to generate more force.
Made me wonder.

If you ever take a GRCS apart, you will see what the limits are... It's dumbfounding they are as strong as they are.I asked because, if I recall correctly, Greg Good seemed to say only one person should crank and they shldnt add an extension to generate more force.

Recently received a Harken 44 for an unbelievable price. After a lot of searching I came up on this adapter also on Amazon, $15 and also can accommodate 2 different wrench sizes, that may come in handy. I'm thinking maybe a socket/ratchet may go on one as a nice handle.Cool, that’s almost half what the arb sites list it at! I’ll check it out. Thanks!!! Wish I had the GRCS today to help get an Aspen off a $7 mil home.

Excuse the splattered brown spray paint on my harken. There was an incident involving me trying to use the spray can as a hammer in my new apartment. I had to paint some walls before my girl got home
that will depend on what harken you have.mine works with 14mm rope.rescue harken works with 12mmWhat's the smallest rope you guys have used in the Harken? I only have 11.7 climb line on hand to test and it doesnt seem to self-tail very well with it. It obviously looks a bit small tho.
I've got the model from the original grcs, Harken 44 two speed self-tailingthat will depend on what harken you have.mine works with 14mm rope.rescue harken works with 12mm
