Congratulations President Barak Obama!

Yeah love the fact that he's supposed to lead us during and economic crisis and the first thing he does is spend 3 times as much as any other president on him own inaguration. he spend around 140 mil. bush spent something like 45 mil, and clinton 33 mil. So how does that make sense? We as tax payers will end up paying for that, how is that bringing relief to the public? Seems to me he just likes to toot his own horn.

Good move Barak, you got my vote. YEAH RIGHT!!!

He has to fix what your prez did, probably impossible but from an American citizen who's children and grandchildren will have to burdon the Bush deficits and mistakes, he could be gay, communist, muslim and a transexual and it will be better than what just left D.C.

Let's face it, the best thing that has ever happened to Rush et al is the election of Barack Hussein Obama. It legitimizes their hate. Who wants to defend their own idiot when you could tear down the opposition?

I think the the buulsnot in Gaza is a bit more of a concern than our new president. Killing civilians, not all of whom are innocent, is still a major f-up. Keep it up, and they will find themselves on the world $ht-list...even more than they ever been. When are they gonna realize they are all "Sons of Abraham" Ha! Obama is petty news compared to this!

yeah smooth move. he is going to close Guantanamo bay. that took alot of thought i hate to see how that is gonna bite us in the a.. president for one day already screwing up i think we are in for a rough ride
 
The Obama presidency is going to put a stop Guantanamo, secret CIA prisons and torture. Thats a very good start.

America may well once again be seen as a guiding force in world affairs after the bloodbath in Iraq and the hideous Bush years.
 
Guantanamo shouldn't be closed - it's where Bush, Cheney, Wilfowitz, Gonzales and the rest of those traitors/war criminals should be interred for the rest of their natural lives.

Just an observation I looked up a word and here is the legal definition.
it is a very serious thing and is punishable by death if found convicted.
The Constitution of the United States, Art. III, defines (INSERT WORD) against the United States to consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid or comfort. This offense is punished with death. By the same article of the Constitution, no person shall be convicted of (INSERT WORD), unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court
Lets look at the three "edicts" by his royal highness.
I am just saying that if we get attacked by our enemies because of the below descisions knowing full well the consequences it may be something to contemplate.

1.the removal of all cia secret interrogation sights. By not getting some of that information Barak is allowing the enemy to have the upper hand and puts the USA in much greater danger. Human intel is the greatest asset we have in protecting our country

2. the CIA having to abide by the ARMY field manual this is what it says "The new manual, in accordance with Geneva Conventions, explicitly prohibits torture and cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment, and is in complete compliance with the Detainee Treatment Act of 2005".
This includes making them feel uncomfortable,playing loud music, sleep deprivation, ect thereby giving the enemy the upper hand knowing that there is nothing we can do to them to make them talk. Do you really think that those who want the USA leveled are really going to give a fiddlers fart about the Geneva Convention. Last time I check very few to no one has died from water boarding, standing for hours on end or listening to "tiny bubbles" for hours or days on end. The job of the Army is not to gain intel that is the CIAS JOB, Armys job is to kill or capture. Again Human intel is one of the, if not the greatest asset that we have in protecting our country.

3. closing Gitmo, and on top of that not knowing what you are going to do with them once you do close it, we might as well give them all rights and privileges afforded to a citizens. I live right by leavanworth and all I have to say is NIMBY NOT IN MY BACK YARD. If Barak wants them so bad he can put up a nice house in his back yard at the white house and put them there until he figures out what hes going to do.
Lets not even mention the Bush deficit when Obama wants to add between 800b and 1.3Trillion to it. If you want to get to brass tacks between the two bailouts they could give every man woman and child approx 304million in the usa over 5k each to spend back into the economy, or save. OOOOH but we are not smart enough to handle our own money so the government has to do it for us. Last time I checked alot of us are small business owners and I am sure you want to give more money willingly to the feds because of the deficit, NOT ME. I am not a big bush fan but its not looking good for obama either

And its only the second day!!!!!
