Compact Bulldog Bone

Wish I still had my page one:numberone:
Bones should have been sold with page numbers stamped on the side.
Climber 1: "What's that thing?"
Climber 2: "This? Oh, it's a page 40 Bone."
Climber 1: "Well I have a page 20 Bone."
Mac (yelling down from a distant Pine tree top): "Page ONE, yo!!!" :bailando:
Climbers 1&2: :(

Thanks, David. Though again, ropes that are prone to flattening will flatten more?

I have not noticed any increase in rope flattening with the change I made. On this subject though, remember, that all tools and systems will have check marks in both the positive and negative columns. It is up to the user to match up what works best for the job at hand. If you like climbing on ropes that work harden or if you need to climb up and down a 20' section of rope 10 or 15 times in a row, a hitch based system might be a better choice. I am just so glad that people like Gordon, keep coming up with great tools, and giving us more to choose from.

I'll work the demo Sunday in the trees at the fire station. If that doesn't fix it and since I'm a self made millionaire I'll just get the tachyon oceans is obviously holding stock in. Do you find the color has different characteristics? Tree stuff has like 4 or 5 to choose from. I'm a fan of bright colors and shiny things. Lol

I think Mac was the 1st boner...uh, I mean bone lover...wait, Compact Bulldog Bone User (yeah, that's it :)) that there was. Not sure I would've showed interest in this thing if it weren't for Mac's 1st video. Thank you Mac and thank you Gordon.

I showed the BDB to a rock climber from Montana recently and she was shocked. She couldn't believe we were using one device to ascend and descend SRT. I think this thing is going places.

Ha!

I showed the BDB to my climbing buddy as well and he was certain it would either lock up or completely let go of a single line. I reassured him it was a precision tree flying instrument. When he gets back from Hueco Tanks I'm gonna get him in a tree to try it.

Steve, I'm not a stock holder...just a Tachyon user for a long time and lucky that the Bone loves it. I would suggest Orange with Blue tracers since I think it's the largest diameter of all the colors. Green with Blue tracers seems the thinnest.

Don't we all! The famous Kong ring incident still has me steering clear of all products (including non life support items). I held to Buckingham for a LONG time in almost every option they offered. I have a soft spot for samson rope, too.

I suspect that's a bit of the mindset behind things like the tree-versatile saddle and such...conscious or subconscious...handmade to the builder's spec, free of attachment.

Yeah. I'm currently waiting on 3...no wait 4... shipments of parts PARTS to build a new piece of gear after I felt like all the manufactors have failed to make suspenders that will work for me. Can't wait to get them done and start a thread so others can tell me how I over paid for the parts and point out a million things that could have been better designed.

Innovation ain't cheap, whether it be financial investment, sweat equity, or BOTH!

Right? I've got a lot of respect for the innovation of those buzzers who have made innovative tools. I also have respect for their tenacity and skill it took to make those tools. I also respect their reactions to critisim that inevitably follows sharing their accomplishments. It all takes it's pound of flesh.
