Compact Bulldog Bone
ML, I'm just not sure why you'd use it. I'm sure I'm missing something. Wouldn't the BDB work fine on its own?
Sure but so does a Blakes hitch on Ddrt. Sometimes just because you can do it means you should try to do it. That same theory also lead to many broken bones in my life, lol.

Okay as crazy as that looks above it may be worthy of more thought....

It will be interesting to hear how your testing goes. I had a nice RW Uni combo that I used for a while. It did make the Uni easier to control but also increased the complexity. There should be no need for such extra friction control with the BDB as it one hands a decent better than any other full mechanical I have used when set up right.

I agree that it does not need to be done at all, I am just throwing sh*t against the wall to see what sticks. If that picture sparks the creative minds out there then it has done it's job. I see or hear about stuff all the time that has no purpose for what I am doing or thinking about at the moment but....later when I have another problem to solve sometimes what was not applicable back when becomes a baseline idea for how to solve the now current dilemma.

Hence your avatar photo depicting thought.

Looks like your able to bend rope into new cutouts making it easier to load? If so I don't see it as necessary? Would definitely rather see a sold main beam made and do away with big hole.

The notch is the same depth as the last batch, it's just that now the bottom friction link pin is supported better by the lower arms even if the bottom swivel snap link is left inadvertently open. I will try to post up a picture of it with the rope installed tomorrow.
