Cmi Swivel

I noticed in some of the climbing pics, people cram both biners in that swivel. i'm not to particular to having my biners jammed into each other at the top end of that swivel.

Any reason why you just dont run the biners in tandom ? I run mine that way and only one biner in the swivel and only one to disconnect. Other reasons to

I have also found through a mountaineering store the same swivel but, rounded at the top so two biners will fit with out pinching so harshly. Same price, same weight load.

Howdy folks~
I've been cramming both of my clips into the eye of that same swivel for nearly a year now, and agree it's not the perfect setup due to the double loading on the eye and the the klingking together of the clips within it. For the swivel to be effective in the tree, both of your clips must be above the rotation point... so how do we make this swivel more safe/ergonomic?

My new set up:
Wish i could just take a photo of it to show... but no digi cam for me.
I fixed the swivel into the smaller indented end of my caribeaner (the bellied end sits in my harness bridge).
My 1/2 inch climbing line is tied to the other end of the swivel... now I used to clip my second beaner there as well, but to avoid the cramming, I now slip an 11mm prussik with a splice on each end though the swivel next to my knot and hook my beaner with friction prussik to the end of that one, through the two splices.
If I want my friction prussik closer to my body I simply lanyard off and remove the extra length of prussik line and re-clip into the swivel. It only takes two seconds. The added length from the extra prussik also give you the big reach for a long hip thrust when you need to go back up to you areial block once youve skinned off the tree. (or you could spurr up like a wimp).
Anyhow, this works for me... just be very carefull and remember to lanyard off before adjusting.

...Sorry for a slight error/confussion. The Swivel I use for climbing is actually the Petzl® Anchor Swivel, pictured in my attachment.
Cheers.

I got this recently from Ax-Man. It is the Petzl swivel and I am using it to keep things straight at my lower connection point. Seems to do a very good job so far.
