Climbing clothes for women?

Arborwear is OK but I did not replace the I had when it wore out b/c of the high waist. Am currently wearing woman's Car-harts. I have an Island supplier who orders them for me for a reasonable ($20). They are great compared to the men's, that with 6" of fabric at the waist just didn't cut it. What I really need it chain saw pants.I am short waist-ed, Reg leg length, not hug hips but have a waist. I can get away with wearing mostly mens cloths and boots but pants is another deal. Advantages to being built like a linebacker.

I wear my arborwear on my hips...then the crotch hangs low...aww gee, soooo sexy!
Even if we have to wear work clothes as a matter of course, its nice to at least look as neat and tidy as possible...except in the winter, I can see the problems there for you lot!

At least I found women's cut hi viz shirts...mens small was still too big.

Rest assured ladies, Arborwear to the rescue! I have seen the new womens line, pictures only nothing in person, and it looks real nice! Bill employs a lot of women, so I am sure they had major input on the=is new line of work clothes.

I have a few things made by carhartt. They are ok to climb in untill its hot out. As far as chain saw protection goes I like the husky chainsaw pants. I have a small waist but a bit of a big bum and they are very comfy and...well...flattering. I get them through work. If anyone is interested i can find out.

Hey,
Red Ants Pants look really promising. Thanks for that link, I'd never heard of them. And the company sounds really cool... a woman started it up, they are really enviro & socially conscious to boot. Good good. But I'm really sick of dirt-colored clothing. lol. I think they need dark red pants to go w/ their name.

Beechluvr, I work in Carhartts a lot too (welding mostly, not arb work)... very hot, and I don't mean the way they make my arse look. High waisted too, but durable. I have not checked out Arborwear yet... I've not seen a lot on their site that catches my attention.

For rec climbing I'm prob gonna order some pants from my fav women's clothing co, Athleta, and see how long the items hold up.

Good luck on the search :)

the Arborwear tech pants actually look & sound like they'd be great... but when I search their site I get no results for women's clothing. What am I missing here? Several people have said Arborwear has a good women's line... where is it?
