Chestnut Oak Crane Removal

thanks.. yup no pin it broke after the first or second pick.. finished the job without it.. the crane is a company owned truck
 
yea passed up the comp this year.. i'll be there next year though. Did u compete? We take it out whenever we can.. been doing a lot of township work so all the trees are street side.. its been fun expect for the wires! Still like a good backyard removal

Nice job!!We had the spring to the gate break on us a couple of weeks ago. Bought 2, one for the hook and one to go in the parts box under the seat.

Good move! We always carry 2 or 3 extra cotter pins. They get beat up real easy.

It is WAY too dangerous working a load on the hook without a gate. You set a pick down and it jumps (as it almost always does) and the sling could easily come out of the hook.
