cheaper Amsteel alternative??

treestuff.com sells Swiftline much less expensive, same tensile as amsteel. Maybe what BB is talking about, don't know.

Includes a splice and a chafe-protective sleeve. Real nice.

Recently put 200' of it on the Bandit 1590. Never knew that much would fit. It did!

Whatcha looking for, Sean? Call me. Ben at DanTrawl (in Ballard) has the best prices.....Puget Sound Ropes is what he has the great deals on. And I have a couple hundred feet of spectra 1/2" I don't need....cost me $1.50 a foot. 24k tensile, same as regular Amsteel.

That might do the trick, Roger. I don't have a specific use in mind, except I might have a big fir with laminated root disease to pull into the woods opposite the lean, away from a house and septic mound.

We've pulled over some big, rotten trees at State Parks with 1/2" Amsteel Blue where the pulling power is needed with out risk of breaking.

Something good for a highline, and controlled speedline when minimal sag is needed.

Is it that orange-y line that was used for the big redwood speedline?
