Wish there was one. But no. After the cut was made, the operator who was new frooze. I was like dude take it away. It was an 88 tonne palfinger. Well within range and chart. He frooze. I rapped down and sat looking at the madness. Another operator drove to site with the 150 tonne. Guy thought we needed to tranfer load. The operator took one look and used the remote to take the pick to ground. Easy peasy no alarms. The rest was uneventful. Same operator. Big picks all day. Loved that job.

88 ton - very cool. We have used one a few times now, much smaller tho. We still prefer a stick crane but neat machine for when the situation calls for it. The computerized dynamic loading stuff is pretty nutso. Thanks for sharing.

We decided to grab a 500i while the getting was good. Took down 3 100'+ cottonwoods today and used it for felling/bucking after they were brushed out. OMG HOW DOES THIS THING HAVE BAD REVIEWS!?! It's the most amazing saw I've ever held. It weighs about the same as my 261 (I got a 28" light bar) and has the balls of a 90cc. I mean come on. It even starts on the first pull every time. I'm in love.

Why do they not put fuel injection on every saw now? I could use a top handle that pulls like a 60cc saw, lol.

All you have to do to start it is slowly pull the cord all the way out and then let go. Don’t ask me how, but it works

I did not know this. I figured it has a decomp valve so pull away. It pulls so easy regardless

It's nighttime and I'm surrounded by vacation rental houses - so tempted to go out right now and feel this work. NEVER HEARD THAT!!!!

Works even better if you warm the saw first and loosen the muffler bolts. Only try after dark on a full moon

Yep. If Stihl would put out a fuel injected top handle that was remotely as good as the 500i they would dominate the gasser top handle market for the foreseeable future. Not sure what is holding them back because IMHO they are running behind Husky in both the electric and the gasser top handles..

Interesting point.
It could be that the catastrophe of the release of the first 201 is rendering them wary of rushing new models out.
Another thing to consider is (according to a UK dealer on Arbtalk) the top selling top handle is the Echo 2511, beating all comers.
Is the 35cc top-handle on its way out?

I’m on the husky battery saw for dismantling and the Echo for everything less.

Run it full throttle for a good 5 minutes to make sure the rings are seated, or something.

Huh. The poor initial roll-out of the 201 was what, over a decade ago? I sure hope they aren't still gun-shy as a result of that.

I do love my 2511 for some jobs, but only after swapping to the 1/4 bar/chain, and in my area at least, that saw and the 201 are for totally different jobs.

Still, I use my Husky T542i most of the time.
