Carlton Chippers

I am wanting to buy a 6" chipper ans there is abloke advertising Carlton chippers, I don't know anything about them?

They do look similar to the Brush bandit..

I have a 12" Carlton with about 220 hours. Broken in now, it is quite a good chipper. Much less expensive than the comparable Bandit, I like this chipper. I used a Bandit 1590 for seven years, and it was also a great chipper. Like a new pair of boots, it's difficult to fully endorse a practically new chipper, but I've owned it for over two years and I've had very few problems. Those that I've had were quickly addressed by my dealer.

My 1712 has the hydraulic crushing feedwheels, a winch, and the Kubota diesel. It packs quite a punch for a small- to medium-sized chipper. Some of the steel elements are beefier than the Bandits, like the chute door, which is thick enough it will never belly out. The cleanout door under the feed wheels opens the correct way and doesn't touch the ground like on the 1590 I used for years. This is a small touch, but an intelligent one.

Overall good experience with Carlton, I would definitely demo one if you are in the market. But a 6"? Are you sure that's all you need? Just curious.
