Can I modify my saddle?

Dont really see why I couldn't, but if I shouldn't please let me know. But if it sounds right let me know, and an opinion.

I have a Buckingham Master Saddle. It has the main metal dee, and the other 6 loop attachment points. Could I attach a bridge with two of the points? I am really starting to think about a bridge saddle, I think it might be more comfortable.

So I am thinking for 30 to 100 dollars I should be able to safely put a bridge on mine and check it out. And if I go with some thing that comes on and off, then I can go either way.

So if safe-
1. There is, buy a replacement bridge, which I could go with Buckingham.

2. Have one spliced to it?

3. Go with a knotted rope bridge?

4. Maybe a tether bridge? Might be cheaper?

And would a screw link connector be a safe way to mount one? (Tightened with a wrench of course.)

with the Master II attaching the rope bridge works great. I did mine by ordering the rope bridge of the BFII and some stainless clevices and attached on the first holds closest to the legs.

I did all that after I fiddled around with the rope bridge I just used some BEE line knoted the ends . I was a little wierd at first getting used to the rope bridge. unlike the D , the rope is now floating. Yeah there are alot of arbs that have done the rope bridge on the BMII.

I did it with the original master saddle. just make sure whatever terminal hardware you use on the end of the bridge is either self locking or use lock-tite to keep it screwed down.

Witchard makes some nice self locking stainless clevises.

I did the same with mine a while back, but once I went to a bridge saddle, I never looked back. If you would like, I have a Petzl Sequoia I can ship you and let you try, if you like it, I'll take 200 for it.

Ha, Thanks guys! I knew it had to be possible. And I figured that a few of you had done it before. Of course! Ya last night when I was trying to fall asleep I did think of bee-line. Even to just attach to saddle with biners just to hang form it and see how it feels.

So basicly, my options are open. So make sure to use the right hardware, knot or splice. I think that I would rather have it removable.

And Jeremy I might take you up on this, When I decide to upgrade I am at a toss up between Soquia and the Motion. I am planning on trying some hopefully tommorow. But I am def going to try this and get a feel for a bridge.

Thanks guys!

i used velocity tied with double fisherman knots to the lowest attachment points on my master for a rope bridge
