Cabling Ficus Benjamina

My company has the contract for Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh. They recently had a tree failure and we now are tasked with cabling trees inside the conservatory. Does anyone have experience with cabling Ficus trees? I know that Ficus are not great compartmentalizers. How will these trees respond to through bolts and other hardware?

I have read conflicting arguments on that. Being from Pennsylvania, we don't get the opportunity to work with them so often. I know they compartmentalize well with any cut we make. I suppose I'm not sure how they will react to the hardware. I have experience pruning 30-40 foot Ficus, but no experience with cabling them.

Ok. Here at my son's school play. There is the rubber tree here. Looked at two cuts. The callous around the cuts is lame. But I think it is a variety thing. Some do well ithers not.15762741470187397259660641030614.webp
