How about clicking evo’s profile and scanning his contributions- if you’re interested in participating here, that is. Otherwise it really just seems like you’re managing engagement on your media venture. Plenty pass through here, but unless you choose to enter an established community showing respect for those who’ve earned it, your threads will end up forgotten and your screen name the butt of jokes. It may seem cliquey to you, but you’re not walking into a group of green groundies.

There you said it! SHOW RESPECT, unfortunately that is not the case with Evo and some others on here. You want respect, show respect first. I don’t care how knowledgeable you think you are, show respect be a descent human being. We all know, us tree guys or the majority are bunch of dicks, always acting like we know more than the next guy, and resilient to new change, becuase what we’ve been doing for year has work so I think your new idea is stupid or just doesn’t make any sense, and I could go on and on, wee see it all the time on social media. Anyways, enough of my rant.

I made a post showing mistakes I made in the beginning of my business, then I ask what kind of mistakes have you guys experienced in your business. By sharing our mistakes etc we could possibly learn something from each other not to make the same mistakes. Where did I go wrong here?

Twist my words and then start dissing the people who’ve earned respect here- dude. This forum probably isn’t a great fit for you. Facebook seems to be more your flavor. To call someone a dumb $&@t when you say you want to start a conversation for mutual learning, nah, not buying it. For one, there are previous threads on this very topic that have been quite insightful (and mutually respectful, because newcomers weren’t coming in with a chip on the shoulder). Secondly, if at first you’re ill received and truly want to be a positive influence in a particular space, regroup, learn your target audience, earn their trust (respect), and start engaging in a way that connects with that particular group. Marketing 201, there you go. I’ve done that here myself. I’m not sure how respected I am, because I don’t often carry the deep knowledge or experience that I see displayed by others (@JD3000, @evo, @rico, so many others), but I try to be mostly respectful in my approach. Some of my early contributions fell completely flat, so I made the effort to learn this space.

I’m not sure how much your intention is meaningful engagement on treebuzz as it is just boosting views on the tube- an allegation already established and only bolstered by your keyboard lashings.

If you want to have a place here, eat some crow, make a couple apologies, and become a student of your audience here. If not, please don’t waste your efforts to boost your following here, as the effort will just waste resources that could generate your desired result elsewhere. Marketing 301.
