Just hooked up with brand new set. Put my Bashlins in the spare kit bag. Got mine with the velcro lower foot straps. Mid climb my right started sliding rearward. Not sure I like those lower velcro straps.
Anybody else? I might change them out but wanted to hear of any other ones reviews.
Thanks in advance....

I run the velcro lowers on my bashlins. Had to open the hole up just a smidge. I love the velcro lower. I guess it depends what boot you are wearing maybe? I always get my bottom strap tight before I do my top, I also always wear loggers if I have hooks on.

I'm wearing loggers. I think I may have pivoted my foot while initially strapping them on and didnt notice the looseness. The velcro upper pads probably held them fast untill I really started moving around. I was distracted getting dressed by the groundie who doesn't know when to shut the hell up. lol
Still my own blame. I'm leaving them be for now. How long Have you been sportin' those? I'm wondering how well the velcro"s going to hold up down there.

I'm with Magnum here. Love the Buck alloy, super wrap pads and the velcro lowers. I rarely ware boots with a real pronounced heel and rarely have a issue. If it seems like the hook wnats to slide around, I throw a turn with the lower strap around the shank.

I have the velcro lower straps on my Gecko CF climbers, and I used them on my ClimbRights in the past. I love them. I go back and forth between the velcro uppers and lowers, tightening one, then the other a couple of times... seems to get the slop out better, because most of the time my foot will move around while I'm tightening the uppers.
Going back and retightening the lowers seems to be the fix. Beauty of the velcro, is this only take a few seconds. The old school ones could be a real bear to get right.
