Bucket truck inspections?

For those of you who own or operate a bucket truck how often are they inspected? What is covered in the inspection? I am not the bucket guy, but I think it needs to be done. How do you find someone in your area? Are the inspections done by a private company or by OSHA? Thanks, Lonnie

An 'operational' pre-inspection should be done before operating everytime.
There are servicing dealers that perform inspections every 100 hours of operation.

Aerial lifts shall be inspected annually by the manufacturer or a certified manufacturer's representative. They will check things like proper operation of all controls, excessive wear, cracks, broken welds, loose or missing hardware, bearing/bushing tolerances, and a dielectric test.

Try calling altec. They will send someone to you to inspect the boom. Around here they inspect all boom makes.
