I mean no dis-respect. Last I checked, this forum is based not in China, where dissent is not allowed, but in the U.S., where, like it or not, the public has a voice. And actually, I am not dissenting, just asking for information, and seeking knowledge is hardly ever disrespectful.
Banning someone is akin to Capital Punishment. That is the harshest punishment known to man (other than familicide, genocide, etc).
Because this is the harshest punishment, it surely must reflect a crime of horrendous magnitude. Something so bad, that it transcends personal feelings. Personal feelings of the moderators, as well as the group as a whole. ???
The nature or details of the event I have no wish to know.
However, I would like to know how the members vote, because a forum is built on the individual members, and the group as a whole defines the site.
