Here's what it looks like installed. The rope is the cover from 1/2 Yale Double Esterlon.

Is your splice lock stitched in some way to keep the tails from coming out?

Welcome to the TreeBuzz!!! There's some great info to be learned and taught here, and plenty of splicers to keep you on the right track, too!

yea its lockedstiched up and down its my first bridge ever and i've been told the lock brummel didnt rely on lockstiching after ten puunds. but first one and all i've only got one life

Nice. I was thinking of installing a bridge on my master saddle also. Maybe a stupid question, but why did you install it in the lower loops verses the upper ones?

it seems a lot better haveing the bridge on the lowest one helps keep the bridge from rubbing on the center d ring and it keeps the bridge from interfering w/ useing the other attachment points. makes the system more flexable.

I think the only real answer is, "I like it better that way."

When I first tried it, I tried all possible configurations. The one I always liked best was the bottom with a short bridge.

My most favorite bridge was one spliced directly to the harness (no hardware) but I wasn't satisfied with how the splice looked, so I settled on the hardwared version.

yes my personal prefrence is on the bottom w/ a medium bridge it seems to pull more uniformally across the saddle and not bringing the leg straps up into the crotch and pinching very unnicely . i also like the bridge being below everything when not in use or when i need to use two attachment point system:)

There are a couple main difference, The deluxe saddle doesn't have the center D ring anymore, it has a soft loop. Deluxe also comes with a quick release buckle for the leg straps, it also has extra padding in the back and leg straps, and last it allows for a quick adaptable suspenders.

Great application of that tenex. I would just keep an eye on it for wear, it might pick fairly easily. And it's Diehl, and I'm glad that what little time we were able to talk has sparked a fire in you to start splicing again, and to try things outside the box, with still keeping the goal of getting home at the end of the day in mind. I look forward to hangin out and brain storming again.

Rage it or go home.

your defanitly right about picking out so i'm constantly eyeballing the thing, but no problems yet ;)but knowlage is key in life so it will prob never pick out cause i'm always watchin' it but this particular bridge operates super smooth (espically w/ the hitch climber on the bridge)
thanks for your tips, ideas, & insperation.the next bridge will be tenex tec ithink it wont pick as easly:)
