I wore asolos for a while and liked them. When Arbpro decided to make the boots with the attachment for a rope walker system, I got a pair to basically design a HAAS for the boots. I love them. they work fantastic, not only do you get that cool attachment point, but you also get a great pair of boots. It may be worth waiting a week till tree stuff gets them.

I just got my Hoffmans in a week ago. Not as bad breaking in at all as I thought it would be. It only took them 2 months to get to me. :)

I used to wear boots like those with pole spikes on old school thin steel pole gaffs I modified to put a gecko shin pads on. They were awesome. But I wore the boots out and wanted some longer spurs so I do the shoe switch. I put the pruning boots in the truck and work in the loggers with a steel toe. I had a pair of timberland Hyperion but I killed the upper in five months. I have been looking at the salewa gtx but now am having second thoughts.

Either of those boots above are great with gaffs, but the Rapace on the right are better because they are stiffer....that being said I don't do removals day in day out.....but I can stand in hooks all day with either boot no problem....
