Blue Band-It

Has anyone ever used the Blue Band-It? Curious to how it works and if it's worth getting.

I like the bands on carabiners because they can be removed quickly when necessary; as opposed to tape or something more permanent. I do not like the bands to close a large eye splice because they get stuck in pulleys and such. Whipping is a better way to close eyes around a carabiner.

I have one and dont really use it much but for twenty bucks, even if I only use it a couple of times it will be worth it

I use mine on everything, definatly worth having.

Especially if you use a hitch climber.

I know that one of our local Tractor Supply stores carries the Blue Band-it for under $10 I think. I checked their online store and didn't find that exact one, but they do list the deluxe castrator. http://www.tractorsupply.com/webapp/wcs/...rue&cFlag=1

I like the bands on biners or splices. It makes for clean easily alterable adjustments to your equipment.

The only thing that has kept me from getting it is my worry that the rubber bands will degrade. Has anyone used anything else that won't crack and degrade? Polyurethane?

Been using bands for over a year now. Once in a while they will split or crack, but not enough to cause problems.

I think for what you're getting out of them, if you find a good use for it, it is a small price to pay to just replace one every once in a while.
