He's probably not charred because the fuse still provided a better path than he did so he only got a little bit of the power, enough to kill him though.

Here, I will brighten things up with a pic I took yesterday. I was about 2 ft. away from her in the bucket. She did not want me messin around in her tree. No worries though, she didnt get evicted.

We've got those Eurasian Collared Doves here, in Nebraska, too. Can't believe how fast they've spread in the U.S. and how fat they get on the corn!
