Bid that tree!

Having exactly zero experience with trees of such size.....$10,000
I also have no experience there but that seems a bit low-

my first call would be to some log trucks to see what they would charge for grabbing the logs. Then work the bid on top of that. The climbing seems straight forward, at least.

After thinking on it more I have say you're right...way too low.

Crane could be an option, but is there an area for processing? Or would that require shutting the entire street down?

Some pictures from the last one of these I worked on. Took two days to brush it out with two climbers rigging limbs down to two full crews. I missed the crane day because of the flu and was in bed for 2 weeks.

How big of a log can your log truck or subcontractor pick up? Bummer there is a guy wire, would be nice to drop the comm line.
Our log hauler will have to be loaded with the crane for the larger pieces. His prices are actually really cheap so just a fraction of the budget. The biggest log might have to go onto a lowboy semi trailer. Currently trying to find someone who might want it for their yard. I’d love to have it but don’t want to pay for the transport and unloading which would also involve a crane.

Parbuckle with your avant? ;)

Here's an easy one.
White or Paper birch (Betula papyrifera)
~24" at the butt
~20" DBH
60ish feet
Single phase primary on one side.
Service drop running from pole to house.
Brush goes; wood stays as is (no bucking required).
