Labor day weekend here on a beautiful super sunny warm long weekend. Only had a short time to climb, and had a small sequoia in mind at a local park.
On arrival, a university student was under it, leaving back with his head against the trunk contemplating life. So, I climbed the tree next to it.
Fired a 10oz Harrison rocket up and got a great tip over two large horizontal limbs tight to the trunk. Only about 25m up. Base tied on a large limb about 12' up, hung my gear bags of that and climbed on up.
What a view of the park and City, especially the local University. Chilled out at the top... my tree time. It was pretty hot so enjoyed some water.

(Serious face on - I'm not good at photos, but enjoy seeing others so you get to see me)
On the descent, snuck in a small limb walk, and had some fun with some large swing-outs (or whatever you call these) to some large limbs, having fun seeing how far I could get out from the trunk.
Returned to my gear bags, lowered them to the ground, stuck a revolver on the elevated base tie, and returned to the ground.
Easy retrieval of my line, some more water, and back home to my family.
All in, a great little climb. Only up and down, but will come back with more time (when it's early in the day and quieter, there was a lot of people around so needed to be stealthy) and snag the top.
