BAstard of a Cotton Wood.

Good Photo run and dialog. I hate go'in back too,3 times really sucks. them vines looked like a Bich.

"Cottonwood Hell Job today" is what I always call them big bastards. And we don't have vines to speak of. Cotton weeds are our biggest trees reachin maybe 120' 6-8'dia. thats as big as they get up here

The Cotton wood is practically a native across the U.S., Coast to Coast. And so many of the members of the Buzz share a common bond and feeling about them. Not generally regarded in the highest esteem. Cotton Weeds, I like that.

Like Greg, I worked in many trees in riparian zones with the grape vines infesting them. "Vinifera Californica" While the vine may be a natural occurance here I've never seen any benifical aspects of its presence in any tree. I too have seen it tear down trees and steer work out of control. Once swing a top right into the 12 KV. The vines were smokin then. And I was swinging the heck out of there. Yeah, the good ol' line clearance days.

Now now, line clearance has been good to us here at Aspen. It has helped us purchase a few recent rigs including my new log truck! /forum/images/graemlins/santa.gif
