barber chair

Is anyone using the bore cut when knocking out big tops? Traditionaly I have only used it on the ground for headleaning trees, but it seems like it may be benificial In certain situations when climbing too?

If there is enough wood, I generally bore most aerial, directional cuts. Lessons the chance of barber chair.

It allows me to check the cut, rigging, ground crew, whatever before release. (Once I start cutting, the crew knows that something is going to happen quickly).

It allows me to adjust body position so I can be in the best/most comfortable position when the piece goes.

Lastly, I can release the piece with my handsaw if I choose.
