I’ve never had my teeth pulled! But if it’s the same as dealing with the Bandit Ontario dealer! It sure would be a painful experience, because that’s what it’s been like for me dealing with the Ontario Bandit dealer! Rip my hair out!!! Problem is there is only one as far as I can tell.

does anyone have any tips to navigate this painful experience! Or a workaround? (Take that literally!). Morbark, looks better and better all the time!

My first thought would be to look for another Bandit dealer nearby. Second thought is to go right past the dealer and straight to Bandit - speak to someone as high up there as you can, and explain your complaints about your dealer - politely, calmly, and professionally - and you just might be able to get some better service. Might be in the form of an apology from local dealer, or maybe it will be support directly from Bandit, but either way I would think you’ll get somewhere.

Curious on what is going on with your dealer.. having issues with mine. Sounds like bandit is having a very hard time with their supply chain and I think that has trickled down to the dealer. Around here it’s bandit or Vermeer.

Yep, it’s a joke. Too bad Nortrax lost it when Brandt took them over. If it’s parts morbark- cardinal in port Perry can likely get what you need

There’s only one in Ontario, its the size of a 2 car garage and parts well they take forever to get in. I only have one bandit left, when it’s gone they are gone

That’s really disappointing. Bandit makes a really nice machine, it’s a real shame you have to switch to Morbark just because of service!

ok, let’s say I’d like to buy a Morbark, I’m looking for something in the 12” range, not too heavy because I’m pulling it with a gas f250 a fair bit, can someone recommend a model number to start looking into? I’ve noticed the drum chippers don’t seem to “shoot chips” very far/hard, is that true. So maybe I need a disc chipper? Anyway, what machines do you recommend?

thanks guys!

No its 100% dealer problem! I’ve spoken to, headquarters many, many, times! And they are Fantastic to deal with, as soon as it talk to them things magically happen! It’s almost funny! If it don’t effect my business so negative when something important brakes.

Yep, my morbarks are both awesome and so is the dealer here. They are both solid well built chippers. They can handle real tree work unlike the flimsy V yellow thingys :baaa:

So which model(s) would you recommend for me? A smaller tree company with a 1 ton dump truck? I was thinking in the 12 inch chipper range size. Don’t really want something massive :) at this point

Yeah jump wagons to the morbark train. I also am in Ontario and the company I work for used to run all bandits but we are slowly changing over to morbarks. We have an 18",16" and a 12" not sure on model numbers for them but the 16" is brand new and it eats trees all day long. The 12" morbark is the 12d I think? It's maybe 10 years old and is an awesome machine. I'd put it up to our 250xps all day long ( it's a drum not a disk but after running disk chippers vs drums I'd take a drum chipper all day). The dealer support out of port Perry is great. And all of the product info is up on the morbark site if you are looking for specifics. Or just call cardinal equipment and talk to them. Good luck!

Years back and many threads ago, I tried to help promote Morbark sales and service here. Guy named Lou made a post or two and then crickets. Why did I go through the trouble? Because I like Morbark and think they are a bit more solidly built. Especially over the Vermeers. I hope Morbark has stepped up with their game in service and sales. From the sounds of some posts, in this thread, they have. At least in Canada.

You may want to do a search for a well kept, or reconditioned, Model 13. If memory serves they are a 14'' drum chipper, and light on the wheels. If not, I'd also suggest a 15'' model.

For all here, A&A Enterprises has an '05 Dynamic Cone-Head 510. Freshly repainted and added winch for $76k.
Twas at $60k before the paint, decals, and winch. A little pricey but then again, them Cone-Heads are hard to out chip per given class.
