Back yard DED

Worked as a sub climber for a tag team crane removal on this back yard elm

I set all the straps and George who is far older and significantly over weight/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif stayed within the canopy running the saw. I just love watching them fly away!

View from the street, we had about 50 yards of logs when the dust settled.

2nd to last pick, what a beast, the elm had a dbh of 44". I know, this may be small to some but needless to say it was still fun!

I'll be working with George on Thursday....
I imagine another craner. Doing craners with George is truley a treat, he really knows how to get em done quick and safely. Whats great is, one can work with him all day and not even have to run a saw, just set 1000 or so chokers and watch the show.

The last couple of years have been much like the late '70s for DED in the Twin Cities. Too many orange strips around the elms

Tom, you're talking about orange paint disease. Seems like every tree with orange paint on it dies and gets removed....

That orange disease is all over the place this year, pretty color of orange though.
