Tree work is a dangerous job. Workers are often exposed to dozens of chances per day of serious injury. Climbers are exposed to hundreds.
It takes survival instinct. There is no way an employee can be trained for every possible scenario that will arise. Closing a hood on a chipper running full speed shows close to zero survival instinct.
