Asheville, NC Trip

Just thought I'd post a short vid I made from when I was down in Asheville, NC, working with Andrew and Wagner Tree Experts. Worked with them for about a week after the Charlotte comp, Andrew's the one doing most of the climbing. Also included some photos of a drive I took on the Blue Ridge Parkway, amazing, beautiful drive. Went up to Mt. Mitchell(tallest mt east of the mississippi), good times.

Looks like you had a good time. Beautiful country for sure.

Little harsh jomoco? Looked like a working vacation not a tutorial. Maybe lay off a little? Just a thought.

Yo dude, Ranger is a well respected part of the tree buzz community and all he was sharing was his working road trip. Could you not have found something positive to say, were you not young once?. By the way you post I know you been around for eons so you should know that, " it's not what ya say but how ya say it". Don't think he was the climber doing the pick either. Looks like he had some good times anyway.

Had Ranger pointed out that it was lame and not to be emulated, rest assured I'd of kept my trap shut.

Any CO who dangles picks like that over my head, never gets another chance to do it again.

Is that how pros do it in NC?

Ranger,

After the Charlotte comp I stopped in Asheville then drove part of the Blue Ridge. Very pretty drive! My plan was to drive it all but when I realized how long it would take I had to drop off and take the 'surface road'. How many of those dead trees along the way did you 'flop' as you saw them?!

Its fun to combine work and play!

Tom

Cool Jomoco, I understand your view which is correct but the vid was Ranger's road trip and not really about that bad pick. I am sure there are lot's of bad picks made daily around the globe and some caught on film too. Hopefully it was a learning experience.

You've offended my southern pride sir!

And I demand satisfaction upon the field of honor, there beneath those large oaks.

Having been born in the great state of North Carolina myself, when some yahoo outta town Yankee comes round here postin embarrassing arboreal crane methods practiced by some oh my younger cuzins who don't know any better?

Your choice oh weapons sir, sabers or pistols?

Though this is sure to offend you further, I choose ping pong - to the death.

I'm glad you saw my humor in that post. Having never seen your face, I was just guessing as to its level of lameness.

I was 13. By the way that is a nice looking dog, Lab maybe? They are the king of dogs IMHO. No human could ever be as great as a Lab, notice the capital L.

You better hope you can play a mean game oh ping pong sonny boy!

Are you an overhanded paddler, or an underhanded spin meister?

Or just an ordinary carpetbagger?
