Armor Prusick

I think the cord is the newer version of Ocean Polyester. What they're selling there is the double spliced eyes which I'm told is a bit of a trick with Ocean (technically 'Ocean Dyneema')

I haven't used the cool looking new version but the old stuff is excellent. I'm gonna try splicing it but so far I'm just using it with knots.

You can get it from Knot and Rope Supply...

That rope is officially called "Oceans Dynema". A lot of guys refer to it as Oceans Polyester, but no matter what you call it, it is a fantastic prusick cord.

This product has a dynema core with a polyester braid over that then an outer jacket.

We stock that exact same stuff that you saw on that website, we carry it in an 8 and 10mm size.

ocean poly is nothing to do with donaghys...2 completely different companies and ropes. armor prus is quite simply the best cord i have used period.

That's interesting, the cord looks identical to the new version of Ocean.

Ocean Polyester and Armour Prus are 2 totally different hitch cords. Not sure if you can get AP anywhere apart from Aus/NZ due to Ce certification but i think this is soon to change. AP is technically a class 11 splice but passes destruction testing when spliced in class1. Its pretty bombproof stuff, just give it a wash every so ofetn and it will last ages. If it came with the Ocean Poly stitched eyes i think it would be perfect. Personally i prefer it over OP as it seems to have less 'memory' but every person will have a different opinion.

no worries bro, its still expensive but all gear is in nz as the market is so small. its getting better though with treetools.co.nz now on the scene.
