They're not available to the public yet. Arborwear is shooting to have some at the ISA Chicago conference in late July. Only a select few got these to "try them out".

Yeah not on the shelves yet but they are supposed to be out by international. I just wanted to start talking about them now in case any one was thinking about spending there life savings on a pair of European stretch pants for climbing, these will be worth waiting for. I'll be doing a big climb tomorrow (for Texas) and will try to post some pictures. Stay tuned. Our pals at AW have a good one out. - Nevic

Next thing we need them to do is make chainsaw pants & some pants for the ladies. Make some noise! oh and bring back single front tech pants in moss green.

When will they come out with chainsaw protection?

[/ QUOTE ]

I have no Idea but I'm having a friend bring me some pfanner's back from Europe this summer. I hear chainsaw protection is a whole other ball game.

Yup, it is. I just dropped a wad on 2 pairs of the gladiators. Nice, pretty comfy. It's been upwards of 90+ here and they're no hotter than anything else I've worn. So far so good....
oh, except the price....

170?!!

If that is true then there isn't much of a reason to wait for them to come out, REI and EMS already sell high quality stretch climbing pants for less than that.

I really hope the price is lower. I was a bit excited when I had heard about these originally.

yeah man...170 bucks is a lot.
I got a pair of mountain hardware 4 way stretch pants with zippered side vents, zip off scree-cuffs ( which work awesomely to keep chips outta yer boots!) at an outlet store up here for 39 bucks!!

and they are tough, tough performers.

Is the fit the same as the tech pants?

[/ QUOTE ]
Basicly the same fit, I wear a 32 waist in the tech but 30 is a comfortable fit in these with a little room to spare. If they hold up I think the cost will be justified. I raked my silky across the knees yesterday with no effect to the fabric.
