Since I started posting/reading here I've really enjoyed watching the evolution of gear ideas becoming products. Some of the gear is easy to make (laynards, friction savers, ect), or to combine componets to for the bag of tricks. There is so much wonderfull gear ideas being tossed back and forth here I had the thought recently of a national arborist Co-Op.
I do not have the knowegde, time, nor experence to start a venture such as this but I would gladly join and support one, as well as many members here would (I assume).
So imagine this, a Co-op that sells arborist gear, but what about a co-op that also manufactures (or subs out manufacturing) products that we the co-op members invent. It would take capital to get all the spec's and regulations taken care of. The co-op could potentialy patent these products, crediting the inventor, and also (if there is any) profit share with the person(s) responcable inventing these items.
In the short time here I've seen or heard of the fate revolver, rope wrench, uni, the roller rack, u saver, pulley saver, cambium saver, multi-anchor, and so much more.
Any takers?
