Arbor Software

I am looking for a software/accounting program (maybe it doesnt exist yet?) that will allow us to invoice, track, and automatically send customer renewals for next year for PHC mainly as well as other facets of tree work. Also be able to view and setup reports for various services i.e. how many Hemlocks are to be sprayed, and frequency throughout the year.

Does this program exist? Arborgold(?), Arborsoftworx, CRM, etc dont seem to do what we need.

I use arborgold and it works well for us. What it doesn't do (or at least i haven't tried to figure out how) is help me track clients for ongoing PHC. You can generate a job/work order and invoicing etc is easy but once that work order is complete and invoiced, it gets filed away never to be seen again. I think that i can get the software to do more but i haven't had the time to set that up (maybe in the winter)
I haven't been thoroughly impressed by it. It tends to be very glitchy. I haven't lost data yet but i do fear that someday i will.

One thing is for sure: it beats the hell out of hand written quotes. I don't lose jobs now and i don't forget that i put a clipboard of work orders on the hood of my car and then drive away to leave them scattered all over the road. Digital, printed sales proposals impress clients too.

I'm sure that there is a better way but i think that it takes about 40 hours to set something up and 5k+ in software and hardware.

Boston- if you find anything, tell me- I looked for a year for a program to do what you describe and found nothing satisfactory. I'm not sure it exists. We have a system here that works, but it is not a single, fully integrated system. We hodgepodge Quickbooks, Excel, and maybe Microsoft Access (soon). I have a vision of what a good system would look like, but lack the ability to write software. Good luck!

I feel you. We use CRM, Quickbooks, and Excel currently. and still cant print out auto renewals.

You would think that some entrepreneur would come up with this software and sell it on the open market to a co. like ArborGold.
