Arbor Jet Quick Jet?

the quick jet can be pretty slow if the tree doesn't want to take anything up. I have had to go around the tree several times to get it all in before. At that diameter I would look into the Tree I.V. system. Although I only have experience with arborjet so other companies my have better options also.

The glass barrell is our quick jet kept breaking so we just screwed the injection needle into a 50cc plastic syringe. Works just as good. Not so quick. The ecoject system is way faster but we only put treeazin in ours.

What are you injecting?

I found the quick jet to be absolute junk. Tried it on numerous ash trees with tree-age and it never took up worth a crap. A buddy tried to treat some locust with the quickjet and it didn't want to take up either.

The IV system is pretty good, you need to watch the weather a lot to get good take up. If it's hot and sunny, uptake dies off really bad. Best to be rainy/just rained and cool. Transpiration is key for good uptake.

Well I ended up doing it against better judgment. Got all the tree-age to uptake but it took 1.5 days and my thumb is a little numb. Worked best to put in 5ml/plug and continue to the next tree. Then I came back to the start and was able to put in 5ml more in each plug with little resistance after the tree had a chance to suck up the initial 5ml.
