ARB'O Saddle

I would probably go with a different option as well, if you home out for a discount the s-light or treerex aren't going to be much more. If you're climbing for work you spend a lot of time in your saddle and your life depends on it comfort and function are worth a little extra money.

Looks nice enough. I’d want to know who made the textiles and the hardware, and in what country the hard and soft materials were manufactured.

The price is nice for a saddle with all the modern amenities, but if it’s made with Chinese rings, plates, and buckles, I wouldn’t take one for free.

To me, that harness appears to have many desirable design features. I did find a site that had 37 reviews for Arbo Space, 36 5-star. Their site says they have a 30 day return policy. A credit card purchase should give a little additional protection.

So much stuff is made in China, you can hardly avoid it. I have more faith that name brand gear made in China has good QA/QC. I'm not buying no-name Chinese gear.

Rather than just ordering online, I might call them and see if someone can answer questions about the harness (who actually sews it, origin of materials, etc.) That should make for a much easier purchasing decision.

For a bit more, I'll stick with August's MB saddles. Second up in that style is NT Onyx. Don't have an Onyx but would replace my MB with one if needed and no MBs were available. I still have my MCRS, and recently climbed in it again. Finally got it dialed in. What a ride!

Hands down, I'll stick with MBs, using my MCRS as back up, and where I may want it elsewhere.

I wouldn't really say the mb is just a little more, it's probably the most expensive saddle out there, not a bad thing, but if someone's looking on a budget there are a whole lot of lower priced good options out there even my tm pro was significantly less because you can often get 20% discounts on them.

What are your thoughts/opinions on the ARB'O saddle? I certainly like the price. https://www.arbospace.com/products/arbo-climbing-harness
Hello !! Thank you for your interest on the Arb'O Saddle.. :) I actually own Arbo Space.. So nice to meet you guys..
This harness is made in France. I am happy to answer if y'all have any other questions..

Just for a brief intro, we are a legit company.. :) We manufacture our own ropes in Europe.
This was our first TCIA and we had a blast meeting with amazing people in the industry, the guy you see on the picture is our Head Splicer Christian!

Good to know. Is the hardware French made too? Petzl maybe? I don’t know of any other French manufacturers besides Petzl and FTC, but I reckon there’s more, with all those mountains.

Hello Jonny,

It is relatively a newer company called Neofeu. We work closely with them and promote this harness specifically.. You can look them up, we are the only company carries this harness
Most of the hardware on the harness made locally in France, such as Rings and Rigging Plate, I will confirm but the buckles are probably from Taiwan..

There is a good amount of interest to this harness and we haven't had any returns.. (actually Medium/Large sold out we are waiting in a new container to arrive, and it should be in 2 weeks..) We still have size Small in Stock

@YayaK i messaged you inquiring about the Callisto rope. It looks a lot like some edelrid rope I have…. What can you tell us about it?!
Hello Chris,

It is definitely rope a like.. 90% similarities. I really like the semi-static characteristics of the rope..

I would also be curious about your opinion of the Woodpecker? (The rope you have)

I like it a lot actually. I don’t have a lot of hours on it, because I bought it in 200’ for taller climbs(which are few and far between) but I like how supple it is, and it performs excellent on the RRP. I’ve got my eye on that Callisto maybe in a shorter length for day to day work….
