anyone use a husqy 365?

Do what ya want it's your money but I have heard bad things about the big bore kits from baileys. Makes little sense to me to go through all that and end in the same place you could have started. Has anything changed on the 372 other than the location of the de-comp?

well seeing that the 365 is the same platform as the 372xp i might go for the 365 and then add a big bore cylinder kit to it from baileys. then i have essentially have a 72cc 372xp.

Why not just buy the 372? Same weight.

nuts the last 2 years IMHO.

now the big question is should i get just the powerhead and buy a better bar and chain or is the stock bar it comes with ok? my 395xp has a oregon reduced weight sprocket nose. im not sure how the husky stock bars compare.

are they all sprocket noses on the 372xpw??? i think im gonna get one with a 24inch bar since i allready have a 36 on my 395xp. i like how all my saws go up in 8 inch intervals. 16"-24"-32". my climb saw is the odd one out with a 14". after i order the 372xp, i will have 2 saws with a 24" bar.

Call the Distributer and ask for an Oregon 72CK or 72AK chain 84 drive links long (if indeed you are getting a 24"), instead of the stock semi-chisel chain. It's a 'semi-skip' chain with chisel cutters. It also comes 'chisel' sharpened, but I round file mine, once I get em.
An 8 tooth sprocket will also help keep the chain speed up while cutting.
The 372XP is a great saw. They do indeed come with Oregon made bar and chain from Husky.

If you are looking at the next size down I can say only good things about the 346xp. Best in the tree, light weight, medium sized saw IMHO.

to next size. 346xp, 357xp, 359, 362xp,

i have been running a 575 husky with a 24" bar and it rips even with a full comp chain. i did about 120 cuts with it today in the 24"-36" range of hickory, scarlet oak, and hackberry. we are doing a project for a demo and needed 100 21" tall rounds to support the stage, i got 85 good rounds and ran out of logs. with a semi skip or full skip the 575 would kick some major azz and the saw is pretty light weight to boot.

they are supposed to be the replacement. i have never used a 372 so i couldn't tell you. i have used the husky 460, 575, and the 3120(i feaking love that saw).

The 372xp XT is the replacement for the 372xp actually.

Husky might have thought that the 575xp was going to replace the 372xp at first, but that blew up in their face IMHO. Now the 576xp is the replacement for the 575xp.

I sold a great running new stock top end 3120xp with unlimited coil installed for $600. Anything is possible.
Just to freaking heavy of a IMO for 99% of the work.
