We had a huge landing zone and all of the material stayed, another company had to clean up.

Making a cut about 2.5 feet from the primary, do not forget it's dead and grounded.

Were are out of here. Dustin is Derricks younger brother, he's been climbing for around 18 months, rock on!

Nice! Dustin gets to have all the fun. When setting multiple slings, do you set the ball in the desired position and keep it there (so you get the lengths right) or will you position the climber first (on a tough sling set) making a rough estimate of length back to where the ball will be?

Are you using your regular 38 ton boom truck? The wood looks a bit big for a boom truck. Also looks like no room to drop or bomb anything. Have fun rig'em good.

Well, here's the Oak. Was 70" dbh and had some dead/hollow zones. I'll post more pics tomorrow.

Dang, that's a big one...where at? So did you get the electrical shutdown you were hoping for?

It'd be cool to hear what the workplan was and if there were any surprises / deviations from the plan. Oh yeah, and some pics!

It was in Trenton. We did the removal for the city. The line boss came out and told us that we "didn't need the lines cut, so good luck and enjoy". We never crossed the conductors and technically the load line never went closer than around 10' anyway. I would have liked them to at least make an effort to wrap them, but... Anyway, here are some shots.
