I didn't really want the thread locked.. Matter of fact I'll send Tom a PM requesting it be opened back up. Tom seems to blame me for the negativity that gets stirrd up around me, accused me of not repsonding to perfectly legitimate questions, and he threatened to lock or delete that particlular thread if it got too ugly. I was merely pointing out that I had responded to questions, and I don't start the ugliness.. BUT when someone throws out a personal atrack, I will not let it go unanswered.

No problems here. I AM happy to do this little dance..
 
no, he pretty much stated that he was going to keep an eye on the thread, as soon as the video was posted, and the he and Mark were getting less tolerant of all the drama and negativity. ANd he was going to lock or delete the thread if it got ugly.

IMO, I responded well to genuine questions and concerns, giving precise and valuabe information about the techniques used to make those cuts safely.. That apparently wasn't good enough. He later told me I should have just ignored the personal attacks..
 
Sometime after I get around to taking this tree down, and editing the video...

This tree is a long way from the road over a lot of grass. It has been an extremely wet spring, so I have been waiting.. ANd I have been feeling really bad lately... So hopefully I feel better and we get a little more dry weather. If it stays dry, I might shoot for Monday, then I'll be out of town for a week.

I could wait for summer and just bring a crane in.. or even flip flop the mats all the way down there.. Still it'll be much more fun pulling this thing back against its lean.. That is a lot of tree! The job is for my chiropractor and I think he'd be impressed seeing the thing coming up and then gettin' flopped onto the lawn..

IMO there is a double standard going on here in your house. I never start the ugliness.. I just don't back down when someone else starts.. Look at X's posts.. he's nasty and he gets a pass, just like Holly, easy, and Riggs and a lot of others. They spew their ugliness out here with impunity and in total violation of the written guidelines, and then you tell me that I shouldn't respond to it!!! and threaten to ban me becasue of all the drama "I cause". If you would simply enforce your guidelines, this place would be a lot more civil and not such a turn off for people that just want to come here to learn something.

You didn't say or do anything about it when PMs I sent were being aired in public.. As I recall I checked at the time and there were no written policies on the subject.

So what's up with the double standard?

yo Wahh , why don't you do your Doctor a favor and just put that tree on the ground . I'm sure you aren't feeling well , making all those "training" videos. I got sick just watching a few . Sound like a whining kid , unbelievable . Pulling trees up backwards and over , bailing out of trees , kicking leads off that come straight back into the tree ,running like the cops are after you and we are supposed to "learn" I don't get it , don't want to . Seriously your whole internet persona has to be a joke
