Another aerial friction rigging device?

Are you aware of any great videos about technics for using the Rig-n-Wrench?
treebing has one on youtube i think. other than that, i don‘t know. sometimes with light pieces it can be difficult to let the work down and the locking sheave version probably doesn’t help. and it needs the room to engage, seems like that is a benefit of the downrigger.

other than that the rig-wrench has been pretty intuitive for me.

late to the party :) used the downrigger for the first time. it didn’t work too well for us as the dead pine was just to light, only i could lower the pieces until we lowered the wood.
obviously learning curve and all.

There are two ways to thread the rope. Less fricrion and more friction
I like an 11-12 mm rope for it. 13 is good for bigger pieces

yes, i actually checked the manual while in the tree because i thought i might be in high friction but i wasn’t. i used 12 mm sirius.. i‘m gonna see if i have a thinner rope or just cut bigger. i guess wearing it in will help a little bit?

When an aerial friction device is set too high (eg too many wraps etc) the weight of the control side of the rig line alone can be enough to stop a small piece from descending. Used to happen to me 1 1/2 wraps bms belay spool. I'd lift the rope tail and the piece would descend. Same with bigger piece 2 1/2 wraps on a speedline. But better than oops too little friction!
