aluminum bronze sheaves for rope wrench

I sold out of the original run of sheaves I had made for the singing tree rope wrench, but still have an interested buyer. I have enough stock for approx 8 more sheaves and if I had enough interest in this second batch I would have a machinist make this final 8. The sheaves are compatible with the 5/16 quick release pin. This looks interesting. What do these do? And which replaceable pin is it compatible with?

The sheaves help maintain a round profile on the rope and are free to rotate. When weighted they provide a very similar friction above the hitch as the regular pins. The RW has a 5/16" quick release pin available which allows the top friction point to be removed, so that it can be installed mid-line.

What are the extra plates on the exterior for?

That is a roller chain connecting link, which conveniently has a 1" pitch and 5/6" dia. pins.

Roxy, I no longer have any available, as I sold every one. Perhaps someone who obtained one could post up a picture for you, with the quick release pin.
