I'd like to do more air spading this year but it always seems that the cost of rental added to that the time it takes to go and rent, then return one makes small jobs cost prohibitive.
I'm thinking of purchasing one to eliminate that headache. There's always AC's at Ritchie Bros auctions and they seem to go for 3to 6k for the older ones. Seems like a reasonable investment.

What do any of you do? Own or rent?

I've worked for companies that owned and rented. When renting you just make sure you can pack all the air spading jobs into one or two days. If you're selling a lot of spading work, you might be able pay it off quickly.
